St. Patrick's Day Favorites, Monday, March 4th, 11AM-1PM
Irish Soda Bread is one of Ireland’s most popular breads and is a favorite in the United States, too! It is most often enjoyed around St. Patrick’s Day. In this hands-on class, Chef Joan Kirschner will teach you how to make a “real” Irish soda bread along with a sweeter American version with raisins, currants, or caraway seeds. While the breads are baking, you will learn how to make a delicious Irish potato candy. Not only will you sample the breads and candy in class, but, also, take home the recipes and bread you made to share with your family. Don’t forget to bring an apron to class. Class is limited to 12 students.
