Katie from Old Slate Farm will be leading students in crafting a lush, fragrant and everlasting fall wreath. You will learn the principles of drying fresh flowers and caring for dried material, including a list of annual and perennial flowers that dry wonderfully. You will also learn how to use a wreath machine, and the elements of hand-tied wreaths you can easily replicate at home. Flowers may include evergreens, lavender, sweet Anne, and Larkspur. Everyone will leave with their own beautiful wreath!
Katie is a flower farmer and florist who creates updated everlasting wreaths in the fall, winter, and spring from her studio in Mount Vernon. Her wreaths are available at Flowers and Bread, as well as several vintage markets around central Ohio.
