English Cottage Garden Vase Arrangments, Thursday, July 25th, 10-11:30
Friends, I've been planning this workshop since visiting The Cotswolds region of England this past spring. We're going to use British cottage gardens as our inspiration and create fresh-from-the garden vase arrangements that are full, "keen" on foliage and brimming with the bounty of the garden at that very moment in time. Weather permitting, we'll start by taking our clippers outside and cutting some young eucalyptus, boxwood, herbs, lavender and whatever else looks good. Then we'll create our arrangements in garden bowls or urns, using our just-picked foliage and the best summer flowers, like hydrangea and roses, available that week. Along the way, we will discuss the basics of floral composition to ensure we eat create a lovely, balanced arrangement that will run a bit wild and brambly, perfectly suited for a lovely little cottage cutting garden!
Each participant will leave with a lush arrangement of their own making. Please wear closed-toe shoes to class.
